Abdominal X-ray and breath testing

Your doctor may wish to take an X-ray of your abdomen to determine if to check for signs of constipation. Breath tests such as hydrogen and lactulose/glucose breath testing are available to check for bacterial overgrowth and lactose intolerance (i.e., inability to digest the sugar, lactose, found in dairy products).
